    Deviled egg

July 10, 2015 - By Aziza Ahmed Paula

I have never made it before. But always they were a matter of interest to me. Today I had two of my favorite people coming in for tea, so I made these little devils just as an experiment and they turned out great. Of course I added my own little twist to the recipe. It is not the usual dijon and mayo deviled eggs. I had some Tahini in the fridge for few weeks now, so, I am kind of putting Tahini in more or less everything, I am preparing. After hard boiling the eggs, you need to make it…

    Beautiful Nepal

July 1, 2015 - By Aziza Ahmed Paula

I have been longing to write on my tour to Nepal last year around this same time. As I got burnt badly after we returned, and lost a dear cousin, I guess I never got the grip back but until very lately. Nepal tour was a very special tour we took as a family. As much as I love to travel alone and see things in my own way, I love to travel with my son. I love to see the wonders in his eyes that we have already discovered. Little questions, surprises and his big experiences make our trip…

    Coconut Oil

May 25, 2015 - By Aziza Ahmed Paula

I guess by now, you know I love homesteading, crafts and other household works. I wish I lived in a farm. I wish it every single second of my life. However till I live in a farm with white picket fences, cattle graze in my land and I wake up to a blissful laid back morning, I have to make things work within my reality. As I was saying I like homemade things, so does my mother. I used to see my mom making little things at home, only to give us some fun. I took up my crafty side…

    Shoilee

March 16, 2015 - By Aziza Ahmed Paula

I met her few years back at a round table discussion. With bright big eyes and sharp features a young women wearing unique kind of jewelry could attract anyone with her presence. Later through her work I got to know Shaily more. Tahmina Khan Shaily, is a creative entrepreneur owning ‘Shoilee’ an online life style shop. Coming from a cultural family, her knack for creation and innovation was always appreciated. 2006, she began to design jewelry, outfits and accessories for herself. This inevitably led her to create women accessories and clothes for her friends, family and suddenly she was in…

    A make-believe lawn

February 4, 2015 - By Aziza Ahmed Paula

Who doesn’t love a lawn, if you don’t have one, make one. There are times when something small and otherwise unnoticeable makes your day. This was one of those mornings for me. After waking up, I opened the door to the balcony and was overwhelmed by this heavenly perfume. My heart skipped a beat — beautiful, pearly white gondhoraj in full bloom. Oh My God! After much perseverance, effort, and praying from my end, they finally decided to show up. I felt like looking at the flowers all day. A significant part of my time has been invested in the…
