[ A fresh look ]
I was meaning to revamp my bedroom look for the last few months. Suddenly last week, being little whimsical as I always am, got new bedroom accessories and redecorated the bedroom. As Eid is just around the corner, I thought of get the ball rolling.
Few months back I bought a second hand antique dressing table. Something I yearned for all my life. Detailed, handcrafted wooden dressing table in leaf green now adorns my bedroom. The mix of old and new created a stunning balance and I love every minute I spend in the room.
This time while shopping I wanted something green, to complement my green dressing table. The latest curtain, bedcover and everything else I got is green. Now, the dressing table doesn’t look a thing from mars anymore. It has brightened the room so much that I don’t need to light up until the sun totally sets down. The reflection of the suttle colours keeps the room bright. Little green pot here and there makes the theme complete.
My shabby chic retro baskets, table top decorating items and wall hanging all match and thus the room look bigger, brighter and fresh. My room now reminds me of the green grass soaked in rain water after a beautiful rainy morning. I feel energized and fresh, I mean I really do.
